INM is proud to announce that at our next INM monthly meeting on November 12, 2017, we have the opportunity to learn first hand about each of the DFL candidates for Minnesota governor. Each candidate will have the opportunity to present his/her plan to move MN forward followed by an audience question and answer session.

We are also collecting food donations for local food shelves to help prepare for the upcoming holiday season. Thanksgiving is right around the corner. So, if you can, consider bringing a non-perishable food item to the event.

Join us on September 10 at 1PM for our September Monthly Meeting: We are honored to have Kathy Hollander with MN350 joining us for this meeting to give us her pipeline presentation. She is a walking encyclopedia about the Line 3 pipeline, and many others that cross-cross the Upper Midwest, and serves as a volunteer lobbyist for climate issues at the state Capitol. We will learn where the tar sands oil comes from, in Canada, and the terrible damage done there to people, land and water. She'll explain Enbridge's mess with their first six pipelines here, and why they want this replacement line. Her slides will show past leaks, spills, and their reputation as a bully corporation. I'll bring maps of lakes, streams, wild ricing beds, wetlands, & forests at risk for our members to take home. The goal of this meeting is for us to learn a lot and feel more confident to take action during the critical last months of the permitting process. We will meet at Northtown Library-  711 County Rd 10 NE, Blaine, MN 55434. RSVP here: https://www.facebook.com/events/110987332898781
